Good evening everyone,
I'm back again with another set of tags for the Mod Squad challenge! Had a chance to make these yesterday too. To make these tags I used my silhouette to cut them out, then I used some Christmas paper a couple of strips of ribbon, then I colored and fussy cut the stocking from Power poppy poinsettias stamp set and used 3-d dots for some dimension. Easy peasy! Hope everyone is keeping warm where ever you are . It sure is getting cold around here it's only supposed to be in the twenty's all week. Brrrr That's all for today!
I'm also entering these in the Power Poppy peep of the week challenge!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a Blessed day! Angie

Christmas tags
Good afternoon everyone,
Today I made my first set of Christmas tags. I used the tutorial by Dina Kowal from Power Poppy Inspire me Monday. I just love doing different things not the same old thing. Lol At work I do the same thing everyday so boring , so when I make my cards or tags different is good. To make my tags I colored the image with copic markers then I used three different dies. Then I lightly sponged some memento summer sky around the edges while the image was still in the die, then I traced with a pencil around the die and cut it with my scissors to get the blue border.
Supplies used :
Copics: R35,R46,R59,YG99,YG97and Y38
Spellbinders: Large oval dies, Ribbon threader die and Radiant Rectangles die
Memento Summer sky ink
Gingham ribbon

Grandma's Attic
Good evening,
Back again with another card for the Mod Squad challenge! Got the first card wrong I used lace instead of doily! Don't really have any doily so these Spellbinders dies look like a doily! I hope so anyways! Lol Used Gina k. card stock since it's the best on the market. Spellbinders floral ribbon threader die, sentiment is from Flourishes Dahlia stamp set , a beautiful bow and some faux pearls. It is very hard to photograph dark cardstock had to take lots of pictures just to get one right. Thanks for stopping by! Have a Blessed day! Angie

Grandma's attic
Happy Lords day,
Our friend Donna has challenged us to make a card using doily, but I accidentally used lace! For this card I used Gina k. 80 lbs card stock to add my lace to . Added lace to the top and bottom of the card and used score tape to attach it to the cs. Then I used two different kinds of ribbon for the center. Used the spellbinders radiant rectangles since the top die looks like lace. Stamped the sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs stamp set the Rose. Fussy cut two of the beautiful roses from the same stamp set and colored them with copics. Also added a few faux pearls to finish off the card. I was going for a Victorian looking card. So I hope I have accomplished that! Thanks for stopping by! Have a Blessed day! Angie

Blue Christmas
Good evening,
Our friend Lee over at the Mod Squad has challenged us to make a Blue Christmas card! So for this card I used Power Poppy's gorgeous poinsettias stamp colored it with copic's, added some Martha Stewart fine glitter for some sparkle, added some sequins and added a blue cs in the background nothing too complicated. I like the blue and white look and the sparkle! I'm also entering this in the Power Poppy peep of the week challenge! I had some time yesterday to make a card between Church and Bowling with friends! I have only 3 more weeks till my next vacation , only good thing about having 25 years vacation time! By the way this Thursday, November 6th is my 25 Anniversary at work! I thank God for giving me strength and patience everyday! Well that's all for now! Thanks for stopping by! Have a Blessed day! Angie

My favorite thing
Good afternoon,
Today's card is made using power poppy's gorgeous poinsettia stamp set that I won from the World card making day challenge! Thank You Marcella! I stamped the Poinsettia on the beautiful spellbinders majestic labels 25 die then colored it with my copics . Added some sakura clear glitter pen to the leaves for some sparkle. Used another spellbinders radiant rectangles die and added some 3-d dots for some dimension . Then used another spellbinders decorative labels eight for the card base. Added a few sequence and a couple faux pearls and the card is all done. You would think that I work for spellbinders since I love there dies so much . I almost never make a card and not use a die.
I'm entering this card into

SPRING FORWARD, FALL BACK Challenge 2
Good afternoon everyone,
I'm back again with another Power Poppy World card making day Challenge 2 ! For this challenge we had to make a card with either spring or fall images. So for my card I decided to make a Fall back card. To make my card I used Spellbinders dies that I sponged in different fall colors, then I fussy cut the beautiful sunflowers illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger from Gina K. Designs. Used 3-d dots for some dimension for the sunflowers and the leaves. Also colored some faux pearls in deferent colors and used glossy accents on the center of the sunflowers.
Enjoy!

Power Poppy Wold Card Making Day: Challenge 1
Good morning,
Today I have a card for Power poppy World card making day challenge! For this challenge we had to make a card using a technique from Inspire Me Monday . I chose this technique to use strips of paper of your image to create the card. This technique was kind of hard for me you have to keep the cut strips together or your card will be a mess, then I couldn't figure out how to finish of my card . So it was gingham ribbon to the rescue. Something that looks easy took me for ever to make. Leave it to me to complicate things . Lol Here's my finished card! Enjoy!

Vellum and acetate challenge
Happy Lords day everyone!
Our friend Karen Hightower has challenged us to make a card using both vellum and acetate for the Mod Squad challenge! It sure was a hard one for sure but like my friend Barbara Campbell said that's why they are called a challenge to make us think. So for this card I used the beautiful chrysanthemums flowers from Flourishes no longer available. Colored them with copic markers and fussy cut them. Then I used Gina K. paper cut 1 inch down from the top and cut another inch strip for the bottom then I cut a piece of acetate which I embossed then used score tape to attach it to the card stock. Then I used some gingham ribbon and glued my flowers down. To finish it off I stamped the sentiment from Autumn Beauty from Gina K. Designs on some vellum. Hope you like my creation!

Basket of grapes
Good afternoon everyone,
I'm back again with another card this time for the Mod Squad challenge. We are to make a card with fruit or harvest theme . So I have decided to make a basket of grapes card since I have so many fond memories of picking grapes as a kid growing up in Europe. My parents even knew how to make alcoholic and non-alcoholic wine the only bad part is that they never though us how to make it . And to this day I still love the European grapes better then the ones they sell at the grocery store and they were organic no wonder they taste so much better. Lol
The stamp set I have used is Better with age by Gina K. Designs

Telescoping technique card
Good afternoon everyone,
For today's Power poppy peep of the week challenge I decided to make a telescoping card. I thought that the peony flower was perfect fort this technique (too bad that I don't have any round or oval dies to fit the flower) so I used my square ones. I followed this video here to make this card.

Paper Piecing challenge
Good evening everyone!
Todays card is for a challenge at Mod Squad to make a card that is paper pieced ! So for my card today I used a piece of black card stock then used the Martha Stewart punch for the lace border then added a red checkered board paper. Fussy cut the strawberries then used a red paper with tiny white polka dots to resemble the seeds, fussy cut the basket and colored it with copics. Used 3 d dots for the basket and strawberries for some dimension . kind of looks like a picnic table with a pretty table cover and a basket with strawberries in it. Even the little sentiment die looks like a place setting don't you think?

Mini cards challenge
Good afternoon everyone!
I'm back after being m.i.a. for 4 month's! We had a walking challenge at work that lasted 10 weeks which meant that I had to walk about 10000 or more steps a day since I wanted to walk about 700,000 steps total. Took 3 rd. place but only about 8 people followed thru with the challenge . So because of it I didn't have the time to make cards too and blog and work and try to get some rest. The challenge was over two weeks ago and my dh and I and some people from our church went camping some just for the weekend some stayed longer . We all had such a great time the weather was just gorgeous and we had a potluck which turned out great. On with the mini card challenge. We are to make 3x3 or 2.5 x 3.5 inch cards. I made both sets 3x 3 and 2.5 x 3.5
Supplies used:
Stately flowers 8 stamps Gina K. Designs
Our daily Bread designs Stamps
Power Poppy digi stamps
Copic markers
Gingham ribbon
White and black onyx paper

Good morning everyone!
We had two days with temps in the 40's you can even see the brown grass come thru that has been missing since last December. Lol I made this fabulous chicken and vegetables for dinner last night and for desert I made a lemon meringue pie . If you would like the recipe I have it here on my blog under recipes. Finally got one card done since it took me all day to figure out how to do it. Colored two of the beautiful crocus flowers from Gina K. Designs Signs of Spring stamp set with my copic markers then fussy cut them, then I also fussy cut two of the colored digi stamps from Fred she said . Popped the whole thing on Gina k. Black onyx card stock . Easy peasy nothing too painful except for cutting out the flowers. Enjoy your Sunday!

Think Spring 2.0
Happy Lords day everyone! It's March and yet we got another 4 inches of fresh snow yay! So to think about Spring the Mod Squad crew challenged us to make another Spring related card. For my card I used the gorgeous iris flower from Melanie Muenchinger new Stately flowers 8 stamp set available at Gina K. Designs. Colored the iris with copic markers B00, B02, B04,G21,G24 and G28 after I colored it I fussy cut it ( I know I need to use my silhouette). Then I used my square die to cut a hole into the ribbon threader die and before I took the die out I sponged some Memento Bahama blue die around the edges, then I embossed a piece of card and sponged some Memento Angel pink over the top and put it behind the hole that I cut out. Colored the humming bird from Flourishes Humming along no longer available so said with copic markers also, threaded some Gina K. gingham ribbon and added some white faux pearls around the card and added a little polka dot bow to the flower to finish of the card. When I was making this card I had no idea that humming birds like iris flowers but now I do! I guess if they didn't they would have now at least on my card! LOL
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! Stay warm my friends! Thanks for stopping by again!

Think Spring
Hello everyone! This kind of challenge has to be my favorite since I love flower's so much . My friend Donna even nick named me the FLOWER QUEEN! The Mod squad team had challenged us this week to make a card with at least one flower to represent Spring since most of us have had so much snow this winter that we can't wait for Spring to get here. For this card I used the second largest Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles die to emboss into the card then I put a piece of pink card stock in the back of the die, then I stamp the beautiful coneflower from Gina K. Designs Birds and blossoms stamp set Illustrated by Theresa Momber . Colored the flowers, the butterflies and some pearls with my copic markers and stamped the sentiment from Whimsical Spring stamp set also by Theresa Momber to finish of my card
Hope My card is Springy enough! Thanks for stopping by ! Have a Blessed day! Angie
