Pick three take two

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm  back again with another card for Power Poppy Power and Spark You  Pick Three challenge!  For this card I chose again the beautiful Power Poppy's  digital  Easy Breezy Coneflowers but in fuchsia color this time. Colored the flowers twice with copic markers RV19, G94 and Y38.   For the background I used the fancy lattice die, then I used two dies   from Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles. The larger die I used   to cut out the flowers that were printed on copic marker paper, the other die I used it across the card to frame out the  lower flower. Then I fussy cut the second set of flowers  and offset them a little with 3-d dots  for more dimension .  The weather is really nice here today it's supposed to be in the 70's all weekend! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

Thanks for stopping by to look! Have a Blessed day! Angie

Pick Three Challenge

Good afternoon everyone,

Today I have a card for Power Poppy Power and Spark Challenge to pick only three markers to color your image. That's not easy to do when there are so many colors  to choose from, but the one good thing about copic markers is that you can color an image  let it dry then later you can add more color where needed for dimension. I used copic markers YG17,B24 and E35.   To make my card I used Power Poppy's digital Easy Breezy coneflowers
I Fussy cut the coneflowers and adhered them to the Spellbinders Majestic labels 25 die with 3-d dots. Nothing too complicated the hardest thing was fussy cutting the flowers. Thanks for stopping by my little Blog! Have a Blessed day ! Angie

Cassarole carrier and Quilted tote bag

Good afternoon everyone!

Today I have a post for you about a couple of things that I got a chance to sew on my last vacation. I made a Quilted tote bag with zipper with the help of Jenny Doan from Missouri Star quilt company  . She has some great youtube  tutorials on how to quilt the easy way that even rookies like me can understand. Lol   I also followed another video on how to add a zipper Jean the jelly roll queen.   Then I couldn't stop there so I also made a quilted casserole carrier that is insulated with insul bright and batting to keep the food warm or cold. The casserole carrier is by Melanie Ham she also has some great youtube sewing tutorials.  Thanks for stopping by! Have a Blessed day! Angie

Peek-A-Boo Birthday card

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm back after taking a break for some time. Life  sometimes gets  too stressful and don't have the time or energy to do anything or even  post things on here.   So I'm glad that today  I have a card to share it's for Power Poppy Peek-a-boo sketch challenge.   For this card a used the cute little flowers from the stamp set Azaleas for the top corner and bottom then I used the flower from the beautiful  stamp set Orchids Rock from for  the focal image then fussy cut it and used 3-d dots for some dimension. The frame was created by using  the majestic labels 25 I cut out the center with the coordinating die   and the outside was cut very carefully using  my embroidery scissors and glued it on to create the frame. Then I used 3-d dots to create the peek-a-boo affect.  This card was for my mother-in-laws 85 Birthday that we celebrated on Easter day with everyone.

Zippered pouch and 1920's Clouche hat

Good afternoon everyone,

I've been wanting to make a zippered pouch for some time. I have one that I  bought from Avon years ago but it's not very big  .  So I found a video on Youtube by Melanie Ham  and followed along.   It took me some time to make it but I wanted to make sure I didn't make any big mistakes( made a couple small mistakes  but got them fixed) phew.  I have also taught myself how to crochet watching Youtube  videos it's fun and relaxing.    I have made several things like scarfs, hats,  coasters and some doll clothes. Here's a picture of the cloche  1920 style hat , like the ladies wear on Downtown Abby and a picture of the zippered pouch!

Thanks for stopping by I really appreciate it!

Misti dust cover

Good evening everyone,

I'm back after being M.I.A  for awhile!  A couple of months ago I splurged and bought a Misti (most incredible stamping tool invented). I wasn't going to get one since is so expensive, but when she had a 10% off sale for Memorial weekend I decided to get one so far  I really like it !  One day I did some searching on Youtube and Etsy  on how to sew  a kindle dust cover ,but my idea was  to make  it bigger to fit the misti. The fabric I used is by Waverly it's a much heavier fabric then many of the fabrics sold on the market.  I have purchased the fabric a few years back on e-bay so I don't remember the name of the pattern.  Hope you like my creation!

And what ever you do in word or deed,
do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him..

Hello

Good morning blog friends,

Today I have a card for the Mod Squad to use 3 colors from the color wheel and for Power Poppy to use pastels! So for my card I used the single rose from  Power Poppy Arranging roses digi stamp . I deleted the rest of the stamp because I just wanted this beautiful sweet rose by it self.  Colored it with copic markers then I used spellbinders resplendent rectangles die to cut my image! Also used spellbinders romantic rectangles 2, some faux pearls, sheer ribbon to soften the look a little ,designer paper in the background and used the sentiment from Dahlia stamp set from Flourishes(no longer available).
Have had a head cold for almost two weeks, but finally got rid of it thank God!  The weather here has been gorgeous today is supposed to be in the 70's so I need to get working in my flower beds!  Enjoying my last few days of medical since I have to go back to work after being off for almost three months! Feeling much better and stronger everyday thank you God!

I can do all things thru Christ which gives me strength! Philippians 4:13
